Thankyou for taking the time to read about our IT Outsourcing services. We like to think that we do things in a slightly more original way here at BITS and offer a service that is a little more unique in the current world of IT Outsourcing companies.

A little note on IT outsourcing

IT systems and infrastructure are a big part of most businesses these days, especially for any clerical business. The problem lies when there is not enough workload to warrant having a dedicated IT specialist in house full-time, but relying on one person with a good technical grasp who may be carrying the torch for many other roles; who will become overstretched or lacking in certain skills to be able to deal with certain issues efficiently, or not have the experience of multiple systems and industries to move technology on as the company grows, is not advantageous for the business.

The ability to outsource is proving ever more popular for businesses in a drive to keep a low head count and costs down. IT is one area where outsourcing becomes extremely efficient.

How we work

Unlike some of the big IT Outsourcing firms out there, we like to take a much more personal approach to the way we work and do business. Our target market are firms with a head count of up to around 50 people. Whilst we are happy to take on businesses with a higher requirement, we feel that targeting ourselves to businesses of this size allows us to provide an IT Outsourcing service that suits our nature.

All support is available from 7am-8pm Mon-Sat, we find these hours typically cover most businesses needs, if your needs differ and you require cover outside these times then this can be arranged at no additional charge.

When we take on a new client we dont just want to be "The IT Outsourcing Company", to us it is a lot more personal. As we engage in the process of being your "IT Outsourcing Company" we engage with your BUSINESS and your EMPLOYEES. We feel this allows us to provide a service that is second to none, one that understands your business needs and goals, one that understands your employees needs and requirements. Over time, this ideal working relationship can help transform the concepts, ideas, goals, into reality, meaning that you will never be left behind when it comes to IT infrastructure. What we do?

"What dont we do?" should be the question. We will undertake any IT task desired and offer the best solution possible to resolve any issues or to carry out any projects. Our workforce has a range of different abilities and technical expertise, in several different industries, so there is always someone on call to assist with your needs. We also share a knowledge base on how best to resolve issues, this allows us to share information on specialist subjects between each other and quickly fix any problems as they arise, which in turn helps us meet our agreed SLAs.

• Web Design - From websites to intranets, to more sophisticated database driven applications bespoke for your business
• Hardware Maintenance - All your hardware can be taken care of, whether your PC's are in need of an upgrade, or one or two are suffering from defective hardware, we are always on call to repair any hardware, including routers, mice, keyboards, printers, scanners and so on
• Office Moves - We take care of all office or desk moves ensuring that you have as little downtime as possible and work done at the most suitable for your business, normally out of hours or during a weekend.
• PC Maintenance - All antivirus protection and PC cleanups provided on a regular basis determined by your business needs ensuring that your machines always run like clockwork
• Application Support - Any assistance can be given to help support all of the applications that you use, most of our engineers are highly proficient with all Microsoft applications, maybe you need to create a mailshot in word, add that spark to a Powerpoint presentation, or add a fancy footer to all your business emails, one call to us will ensure a quick and successful remedy to any situation
• Development - There is nothing more we like doing than automating your business processes. Maybe its that dull weekly task that seems to take forever, or a customised application, we program in C#, Java, C++, Visual Basic, Python, ASP, PHP, SQL, you name it, we do it
• Windows and UNIX - We supply and support all operating systems

Prices

This is usually the scarey bit, but not with us! We work on a very simple principle, any work that we carry out, is charged by way of credits, you can purchase credits as and when you need them, or to benefit from a significant discount you can purchase credits in bulk. It does not matter if the credits are used web site updates or creations, PC repair, Application Support, or Networking, EVERYTHING is charged at the one rate, paid for by your credits on demand. Credits do have a 2 year expiry date from the date of purchase.

Quite simply there are 4 credits to a man hour, or one credit equates to 15 minutes of work by one technician. All work is rounded to the nearest credit, with a minimum charge of 1 credit. Site visits will require a minimum of 12 credits (there is no call out charge to cover our travel costs or expenses), we would advise scheduling one or two weekly site visits at a time convenient to you although we will make site visits whenever is necessary, its all about maximising use of our time, and ensuring your IT systems get regular maintenance so everything performs at optimum performance.

2010 Prices

1 Credit (15 Minutes Labour) = £9.99+VAT
64 Credits (16 Hours Labour) = £544.00+VAT (save £95.36)
240 Credits (60 Hours Labour) = £1860.00+VAT (save £537.60)
1000 Credits (250 Hours Labour) = £7250.00+VAT (save £2740.00)

These are our labour prices, any hardware or software necessary will be charged extra. You may purchase your own hardware and software, however it is better to consult with us before making any purchases.

Some example usage of credits is as follows. A typical website of around 6 pages would use 64 Credits. A desk move of 6 people would use about 32 credits. Running of CAT5 network cabling and installing sockets etc would require between 64 and 160 credits.

The above uses are purely examples for typical work. Of course the beauty of the way our pricing works is that we can work to your requirements. Perhaps you only want a simple website and can only budget 20 credits, then we can work in this scope. All you need to do is keep us informed.
